This year’s Mother’s Day Run was a great event, and the turnout was over 14,000 runners, walkers, and wheelchair racers. I know you don’t really give a shit about this– what you really care about is Where’s My Money?!?
Gimme Your Money! (And Win Double Back!)

This year, for every $10 you donate, you’ll get one entry into a draw I will hold after the run. If I run in my “new year’s resolution” time of 25:00 or less, I’ll write the winner a cheque in the amount of their donation, up to $100. If I run slower than 25:00, the winner will receive double the amount of their donation, up to $200!
Happy Mother’s Day

Two recent phenomenon have given me new insight into today’s significance. Firstly, many of my female friends have recently become moms, and I have seen what they go through in bringing up the kids. Secondly, a rather traditional colleague of mine, after having to care for his kids full-time while his wife recovered from surgery, came to work exhausted and declared Mother’s Day “the most important holiday of the year.”

Thank you for having dinners at the table instead of in front of the TV. Having the whole family together to talk after a day of work and school was a ritual I will always cherish. Remember the food fights?
