During the “pressure serving” drill I use to help them improve their serving consistency, their answers to questions were no better than those of last year’s team. My favourite exchange was to the question, “What’s the capital of Quebec?”

I got some good advice from my mom about storing my basil. She suggested that I put the stems in some water to keep them fresh longer. Excellent idea!

Things were going so well. I was feeling tired, but resolved. I had a plan to keep myself awake. I was enjoying having the extra time.

I just finished the final nap of my first full day of true polyphasic sleeping. It was really hard to get up after this one, but now, about 20 minutes later, I feel alright.

Was able to get to sleep smoothly yet again, and had a quick dream that I can’t remember. I did whack the snooze button once though, and I’ve got to stop doing that, as it might be defeating the purpose. Duh.

Fell asleep quite easily, again, but needed to whack the snooze button a couple times. Funny, I think this is just a subconscious reaction to my alarm, as it’s what I usually do when I wake up feeling tired. It’s like I’m forgetting what it is I’m trying to accomplish in the first few seconds of waking.

I finally fell asleep. I remember having a strange dream where I was playing recreational volleyball with some friends and there was no net. And I woke directly from this dream when the alarm went off.

So far my plan to avoid falling back to sleep is working. Unfortunately, I can’t sleep when I’m supposed to, either.
